Fixing and buying guide
2440 x 1220 x 12mm MDF
What this product is and who it is for
MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is an engineered wood product made from wood fibres bonded with resin under heat and pressure. Caberwood Trade FSC MDF is designed for professional builders, joiners, furniture makers, and experienced DIY customers. It is particularly suited to users who need a lightweight alternative to solid timber or plywood for interior applications. The 12mm thickness offers a good balance between weight and structural integrity for most general-purpose joinery and furniture projects.

Sheet size and pack contents
Each sheet measures 2440mm long by 1220mm wide by 12mm thick. This is a standard European sheet size, commonly referred to as 8ft x 4ft in imperial terms. Sheets are supplied individually. Check your project requirements and workspace before ordering to ensure you can handle and store full-size sheets, or plan for cutting and transportation accordingly.
Before you buy: compatibility and preparation checks
Confirm that 12mm thickness is suitable for your intended application and load requirements. MDF is not recommended for external use or damp environments as it absorbs moisture and will swell. Ensure your workshop has adequate space to store and work with full-size sheets. Check that your cutting and machining equipment is suitable for MDF. Plan your layout and cutting list before delivery to minimise waste. If painting, allow time for priming and undercoating to achieve a professional finish.
