What you are buying

You are purchasing one length of Regency Primed Moisture Resistant MDF Profile measuring 5.49 metres long, 198mm wide and 18mm thick. The board is manufactured from medium-density fibreboard (MDF) and arrives with a factory-applied primed moisture resistant coating. MDF is an engineered wood product offering superior stability compared to solid timber, with minimal warping or movement across its length.

  • Single 5.49m length per order
  • 198mm width, 18mm thickness
  • Pre-primed finish applied at manufacture
  • Moisture resistant treatment included
  • Ready for paint, varnish or stain application

Suitability and applications

This profile board is ideal for shelving units, fitted cabinetry, furniture construction and decorative wall panelling. The 18mm thickness provides adequate load-bearing capacity for shelving applications and the moisture resistant finish makes it suitable for kitchens, bathrooms and utility areas where humidity levels are elevated. The primed surface accepts all standard timber finishes without additional preparation.

  • Shelving and storage solutions
  • Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry
  • Furniture making and joinery
  • Decorative wall boarding
  • Trade and professional applications

Preparation and fixing

The board arrives primed and ready to use. Before installation, inspect the full 5.49m length for any damage in transit and allow the board to acclimatise to your workshop environment for 24 to 48 hours. Check that your fixing points and support structure are level and secure. For shelving applications, ensure adequate support brackets are installed at appropriate centres to prevent sagging. Apply your chosen finish (paint, varnish or stain) following the manufacturer's instructions for the finishing product. Allow adequate drying time between coats.
