Fixing and buying guide
Hardwood Plywood 2440 x 1220 x 9mm B/BB Premium Streply EN314-2 CI2 & EN636-2S, E1 Class 2 also known as WBP
What you are buying
Each sheet measures 2440 x 1220 millimetres and is 9mm thick. The B/BB grading delivers a premium-quality face veneer on one side, suitable for visible surfaces, with a utility-grade reverse. The sheet is manufactured from Eucalyptus core veneers bonded with phenol-formaldehyde adhesive to EN314-2 CI2 standard, meaning it is moisture-resistant and suitable for humid internal environments. E1 Class 2 certification confirms low formaldehyde emission. The sheet is also known as WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) plywood, though it is designed primarily for internal use.

Who this product is for
This plywood is designed for trade professionals and experienced DIY customers undertaking cabinet making, bespoke joinery, shelving systems, and internal fit-out projects. It suits makers who require a stable, finished panel that minimises movement and accepts paint or veneer directly. It is not suitable for external use or structural applications requiring thicker gauge material.

- Furniture manufacturers
- Shopfitters and interior specialists
- Experienced DIY makers building fitted furniture
Compatibility and sizing
At 9mm thickness, this sheet is suitable for cabinet sides, shelving, and internal panels where moderate strength and rigidity are required. For load-bearing shelves or structural applications, confirm thickness and span calculations with your design. The Eucalyptus core and EN636-2S specification make it stable in humid kitchens and bathrooms, though it must remain protected from standing water. The smooth B-grade face accepts water-based and solvent-based paints, wood stains, and veneer adhesives without additional priming or filling in most cases. Check your adhesive or finish manufacturer's guidance for compatibility with plywood substrates.
- Thickness: 9mm — suitable for cabinet panels, shelving, and internal partitions
- Moisture resistance: EN636-2S rated for humid internal environments
- Surface finish: B-grade face accepts paint, stain, and veneer directly
- Stability: Eucalyptus core resists twisting and warping
- Not suitable for external exposure or structural load-bearing without engineering approval
Pre-installation checks and preparation
Before use, inspect the sheet for damage, delamination, or moisture ingress. Store flat in a dry, well-ventilated space and allow the sheet to acclimatise to your workshop humidity for 24 to 48 hours before cutting or assembly. Measure and mark your cut lines clearly. Use a fine-toothed saw blade to minimise splintering on the B-grade face. If the reverse (BB) face will be visible, light sanding may be needed. Seal any cut edges with primer or edge sealer to prevent moisture ingress, particularly in kitchens or bathrooms. Ensure your assembly frame or cabinet structure is square and level before fixing panels, as the plywood's stability depends on proper support.
