Where to use this flashing
This VELUX single plain tile flashing is specifically designed for roof windows being installed into plain tile roofs. It is not suitable for other roof coverings such as slate, interlocking tiles, or sheet materials. The flashing works as part of the complete VELUX installation system and must be used in conjunction with the appropriate roof window frame and other installation components.

Installation and positioning
The flashing must be positioned to sit beneath the roof tiles around the window frame. During installation, the flashing integrates with the window frame and sits under the tiles above the window opening, with tiles laid over the top edges of the flashing. The 55 x 70 dimensions are designed to accommodate standard plain tile roof systems. Ensure the flashing is properly seated and secured before laying tiles over it, and check that all edges are tucked under tiles to direct water away from the window frame.

Maintenance and inspection
After installation, periodically inspect the flashing and surrounding tilework to ensure the weathertight seal remains intact. If tiles become loose or damaged, repair them promptly to maintain the integrity of the seal. Do not attempt to modify or bend the flashing once installed, as this may compromise the weathertight seal.
