Fixing and buying guide
LPD White DX 30S Style 1981 x 686 x 35mm (27")
What you are buying
This is a complete internal door leaf measuring 1981 x 686 x 35mm (27 inch width). The door features a solid engineered core construction rather than a hollow core, providing enhanced strength and stability. The white primed finish means the door has been factory-primed and requires only a final decorative top coat before hanging. The 30's style design with its characteristic panel arrangement makes it suitable for period or contemporary interiors seeking a classic aesthetic.
- Solid engineered core for added strength and durability
- Primed white finish - ready for final top coat
- Trimmable for flexible installation
- Manufactured from environmentally friendly timber
- Internal use only
Sizing and compatibility
The door is supplied at 1981mm height and 686mm width (27 inches). Before purchase, measure your door opening carefully to ensure this size is suitable. The door can be trimmed if needed, allowing some flexibility during installation, though significant trimming should be avoided to maintain the structural integrity of the solid core. Check that your frame is square and level, as this will ensure proper hanging and operation.
- Height: 1981mm
- Width: 686mm (27 inch)
- Depth: 35mm
- Trimmable to suit your opening
- Suitable for standard UK internal door frames
Preparation and finishing
The door arrives primed in white, which provides a base coat and protects the timber. You will need to apply at least one final top coat of paint, stain, or other finish to complete the door. Ensure the primed surface is clean and lightly sanded between coats for best adhesion. Allow adequate drying time between coats as per your chosen finish manufacturer's instructions. Do not hang the door until the final finish is fully cured.
- Primed finish requires final top coat before hanging
- Lightly sand between coats for best finish
- Allow full curing time before installation
- Use appropriate paint or stain for internal timber doors
Pre-installation checks
Before hanging, inspect the door for any damage during transit and check that your frame opening is square, level, and the correct size. Ensure you have appropriate hinges, handles, and hanging hardware ready. The door should be stored flat in a dry environment until installation to prevent warping. Allow the door to acclimatise to the room environment for 24 to 48 hours before hanging, particularly if there is a significant difference between storage and installation conditions.
- Check door and frame for damage
- Verify frame is square and level
- Store flat in dry conditions
- Allow acclimatisation time before hanging
- Prepare hinges and hardware in advance
