Oak Regency 4 Panel Raised Moulding Unfinished Fire FD30 Door 1981mm x 762mm x 44mm (78" x 30")

Who this door is for and where to use it

This FD30 fire door is intended for internal use in properties where fire safety regulations apply. It is commonly specified for hallways, stairwells, and other escape routes in domestic properties, as well as in commercial and institutional buildings. The FD30 rating means it will resist fire for up to 30 minutes, meeting current building regulations for compartmentation. If you are replacing an existing internal door or installing a new one in a regulated location, check your local building control requirements to confirm FD30 is the correct specification for your application.

  • FD30 fire rating suitable for escape routes and fire compartmentation
  • Appropriate for domestic and commercial buildings subject to building regulations
  • Solid engineered White Oak construction provides durability and acoustic insulation
  • 44mm thickness contributes to structural integrity and sound performance

Sizing and compatibility

This door is supplied at 1981mm height by 762mm width, which is a standard 30-inch wide door size in metric dimensions. Before purchasing, measure your existing door opening or frame to confirm this size is correct for your installation. The door is pre-drilled for three standard hinges, so you will need to ensure your frame is prepared to accept these. The 44mm thickness is a standard internal door depth and will fit most conventional door frames. If your opening differs from these dimensions, do not attempt to plane or cut the door, as this may compromise the fire rating and structural integrity.

  • Height: 1981mm, Width: 762mm, Depth: 44mm
  • Pre-drilled for 3 standard hinges
  • Confirm your frame opening matches these dimensions before ordering
  • Do not cut or plane the door as this will void the fire rating

What is included and pre-installation checks

The door is supplied as a single unfinished panel with pre-drilled hinge positions. It does not include hinges, handles, locks, or finishing materials. Before installation, inspect the door for any damage in transit and check that the frame is square, level, and properly prepared. The frame must be capable of supporting the weight and accommodating the hinge positions as pre-drilled. Ensure the frame is constructed to the same fire-rating standard if required by building regulations. Allow the door to acclimatise to the room environment for 48 hours before finishing or hanging to minimise movement.

  • Door panel only; hinges, handles, and locks are not included
  • Unfinished surface requires staining or painting before or after hanging
  • Inspect for transit damage and check frame is square and level
  • Allow 48 hours acclimatisation before finishing or installation

Finishing and installation preparation

Because the door is supplied unfinished, you have the flexibility to stain or paint it to match your interior scheme. Apply finish to all surfaces, including edges and the back face, to ensure even colour and protection. If you choose to finish the door before hanging, allow adequate drying time according to your chosen product instructions. The solid engineered White Oak will accept standard wood stains and paints. Once finished and acclimatised, the door is ready for hanging using three hinges fitted to the pre-drilled positions. Ensure your hinges are rated for the door weight and that the frame is securely fixed before installation.

  • Finish all surfaces including edges and back face for even appearance
  • Choose stain or paint suitable for solid engineered oak
  • Allow full drying time before hanging if finishing before installation
  • Use three hinges fitted to pre-drilled positions
